blustrkr's Rising Storm 2: Vietnam Review PC

I play a lot of shooters but usually not too many of the more serious tactical ones. Before building a PC a couple years back, I was primarily a console player too (although I've always loved playing PC games). So, when I finally picked this game up at the behest of my brother, it was a little bit of a shock to me!

You cannot simply sprint into battle like John 117 from Halo or your guardian from Destiny. The time to kill (TTK) is even less than Battlefield, which already seems like it's gotten quicker and quicker over the recent years. That, my friends, is the essence of some of these more realistic tactical shooters. Rising Storm 2: Vietnam definitely captures said essence!

After adjusting to this playstyle, I had a lot of fun. Progression with your online character/unlocks is a little slow, but I suspect that is due to the lack of a single player mode. If they made the leveling any faster the more hardcore players would complete it very quickly. You gotta keep people around somehow!

The graphics are not amazing, but they certainly aren't bad either. They won't hold up
